- In Windows, check whether MagicPod > MagicPodDesktop exists in the Windows menu.
- If this does not exist, installation of MagicPodDesktop may not have completed successfully, so you should reinstall it.
- If it exists, click the menu item and launch MagicPodDesktop. When it launches, check to see if an error message appears.
- If you are able to launch it successfully from the menu item but not the browser, check the An error is displayed when installation of MagicPodDesktop completes on a Windows machine
- For Mac, check whether MagicPodDesktop exists in the list of applications. If this does not exist, installation of MagicPodDesktop may not have completed successfully, so you should reinstall it. If it exists, click the item and launch MagicPodDesktop. When it launches, check to see if an error message appears.
- From Task manager, check to see whether any MagicPodDesktop processes remain, and if so, close all the relevant processes.
- Connect to (or run a test on) the MagicPodDesktop with the Browser development tools open, and check to see if any errors appear in red. If an error is displayed, there may be some kind of problem on MagicPod, so please notify MagicPod support of the content of the error.
- Check that the Windows Apps installation setting is not set to Allow apps from the Store only. If it is set to Allow apps from the Store only, it may not be possible to launch MagicPodDesktop correctly.
- For Windows, open the Command prompt, run C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\magic_pod_desktop\app-[MagicPodDesktop version number]\MagicPodDesktop.exe, and check to see if an error is displayed. In the case of Mac, open the Mac terminal, run "/Applications/MagicPodDesktop.app/Contents/MacOS/MagicPodDesktop", and check to see if any error is displayed.
