In MagicPod, we use the concept of a "Project" to efficiently manage and execute tests.
This page explains the basic concept of projects and provides guidance on how to organize them effectively.
What Is a Project?
A project in MagicPod is a unit that centrally manages test cases, execution results, and member permissions.
By organizing projects by application or by team members, you can run your testing operations more efficiently.
For details on how to manage members by project, please refer to this page.
How to Organize Projects
There are no strict rules for how to divide projects in MagicPod. However, based on common usage patterns, we recommend the following approaches that can help with efficient management and operation.
Note: If you are testing both a browser application and a mobile application, you must create separate projects for each.
1. Organize by System (Application)
If you are testing multiple apps or web services, creating a separate project for each one makes it easier to manage both test cases and team members.
2. Organize by Development or QA Team
When specific development or QA teams are clearly responsible for certain areas, it is often helpful to divide projects by team.
This makes it easier to manage access permissions and delegate tasks.
3. Organize by Platform
For multi-platform applications, some users manage separate projects for the web, iOS, and Android versions of the app.
Number of Projects and Pricing
The number of projects you can create depends on your subscription plan.

Q. What is a "Mixed" project?
If you select "Mixed," you can create test cases for both browser and mobile app platforms within the same project. Please note that a Mixed platform project consumes two project slots.
