Notification of test results from batch test runs can be received in various ways
Table of contents
1. Receive notifications by email
When a test is performed in a batch run, a notification is sent to the primary email addresses of all users participating in that project.
This notification is enabled by default.
If you wish to disable notifications, follow the steps below.
For each batch run setting
Open Batch run settings, click Common settings, and set the Notify test result by email option to Disabled.
This will prevent all users from being notified of the test execution results under that batch run setting.
For each user
Go to https://app.magicpod.com/accounts/email/.
Uncheck the Receive test result emails option under Email Notifications.
This will prevent the user from receiving notifications about the test execution results from all the projects they are participating in.
2. Receive notifications by Slack
To receive notifications via Slack, open Batch run settings, click Common settings, set the Notify test result by Slack option to Enabled, and then click Add.
When the integration popup appears, input your desired name and click Add to Slack.
Select the channels for which you wish to send notifications, and click Allow.
The blue links will take you to the results page on MagicPod.
When switching the Notify test result by Slack option to Enabled (Detail settings),
you can configure notification settings for each status: Succeeded, Failed, Unresolved, and Aborted.
You can also set up mentions to Slack users/groups.
Click Edit button on Notification channel to start required configuration.
Click Allow to grant us the permission to access your workspace's information.
Now you can use user/group mentions on Slack setting screen.
3. Receive notifications by Teams
To receive notifications via Teams, please utilize Teams' notification settings, as direct configuration through MagicPod is not available.
First, get the email address of the Teams channel for which you wish to receive notifications.
Next, within your email service, set up automatic forwarding of MagicPod's test result emails to that email address.
Alternatively, you can set up the email address associated with your MagicPod user account to directly send test result emails.
