1. Receive notifications by email
Email notification settings in batch run settings
When a test is executed in a batch run, you can send a notification to the primary email addresses of the users participating in the project.
This notification is disabled by default.
If you want to enable email notifications, configure the settings as follows:
Select "Common Settings" from the batch run settings screen, and switch the "Notify test result by email" option to "Enabled" or "Enabled (only for non-successful results)".
When set to "Enabled", email notifications will be sent regardless of the test results.
When set to "Enabled (only for non-successful results)", email notifications will be sent only when the test result is other than "Success" (Failed, Aborted, or Unresolved).
Email notification settings per user
Users who do not need email notifications of test results can turn off email notifications on a per-user basis by configuring the settings as follows:
From the menu in the upper right corner of the screen, go to "Email Settings" and uncheck "Receive test result emails".
This will prevent the user from receiving notifications about the test execution results from all the projects they are participating in.
For notifying only specific members of specific test results by email
This page introduces a workflow using the external automation tool Zapier.
2. Receive notifications via Slack
To receive notifications via Slack, open the Batch run settings screen, click Common settings, set the Notify test result by Slack option to Enabled, and then click Add.
When the integration popup appears, input your desired name and click Add to Slack.
Select the channels for which you wish to send notifications, and click Allow.
The blue links will take you to the results page on MagicPod.
When switching the Notify test result by Slack option to Enabled (Detail settings),
you can configure notification settings for each status: Succeeded, Failed, Unresolved, and Aborted.
You can also set up mentions to Slack users/groups.
Click the Edit button on the Notification channel to start the required configuration.
Click Allow to grant us the permission to access your workspace's information.
Now you can use user/group mentions on the Slack settings screen.
3. Receive notifications via Teams
To receive notifications via Teams, please utilize Teams' notification settings, as direct configuration through MagicPod is not available.
First, get the email address of the Teams channel for which you wish to receive notifications.
Next, within your email service, set up automatic forwarding of MagicPod's test result emails to that email address.
Alternatively, you can add a Microsoft Teams email address in the MagicPod email settings and set it as the primary email address to receive test result emails directly.
Please note that in this case, the email address that was previously set as the primary address will no longer receive test result emails.
4. Receive notifications via Chatwork
If you want to receive notifications in Chatwork, this cannot be configured from MagicPod, so you will need to use Chatwork's features to integrate MagicPod's test result emails into your chat.
For details, please refer to Chatwork's service integration guide (Japanese).
