com/android/apksigner/ApkSignerTool has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 53.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0

Build-tools for versions 30.0.0 and 30.0.1 do not work with Java 8, due to an issue with the Android SDK. Change the installed Java version from 8 to 9, or install the latest version of build-tools (version 30.0.2 or above) in the procedure described below.

1. Open SDK Manager from Android Studio, according to this article.
2. Following that, select Show Package Details on the SDK Tools tab, check the latest version of Android SDK Build-Tools, and click Apply. This will install the latest version of build-tools.
