If you encounter errors when running tests on Internet Explorer in a local PC environment, the required setup may not be complete. Check the Setup procedure.
See below for information on other issues.
Table of contents
1. WinAppDriver Binary Not Found
If you see the error:
WinAppDriver binary could not be found at the expected path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Application Driver\WinAppDriver.exe'
This likely means that Windows Application Driver is not installed correctly. Refer to the Setup procedure to reinstall it.
2. Network Error
If a "Network Error" appears when starting the test, the machine’s developer mode may not be enabled or restarted properly. Follow the Setup procedure to resolve this.
3. Remote Desktop Limitation
When running tests via Remote Desktop, Internet Explorer requires window focus, so you cannot minimize the remote desktop window during the test execution.
