As MagicPod is a Cloud service, it is basically impossible to test by accessing a server that requires a VPN connection.
You will need to give our public IP address access to your in-company Server. Refer to Testing in Private Environments for details.
The user-fixed IP function is provided only for the Enterprise version.
For details, check User Fixed IP.
Here, we shall introduce a workaround.
In case of a mobile app test
- Install and configure the VPN client app on the Cloud device before running the test
- Use the “Launch other apps” command to launch the VPN client app
- Access the internal company environment via the VPN
You can use the method described above. However, the behavior of the VPN client app is beyond the scope of support.
The Cloud device is destroyed after use, so the VPN client apps downloaded to other users and information used when connecting are not used.
However, we have not actually verified this method, so this is only a theoretical countermeasure.
In case of a browser test
If you carry out testing by connecting to a local PC, you can carry out testing by using a browser connected to the VPN.
As you cannot connect to an in-company server using a browser on the MagicPod Cloud, this cannot be done.
We would like to support this in the future.
