In tests using Android real devices, the error “Original error: socket hang up” may occur when connecting to the device and running tests. This error means that because the Appium process has stopped within the terminal, it is no longer possible to connect to the real device. First, please try the following:
- Run the test again
- Relaunch MagicPodDesktop
- Relaunch device
etc. In most cases, this will resolve the problem.
Check the following if this is still not resolved.
- Can you connect by pressing the “Connect” button from the Edit test screen?
- Is the path to the APK file specified on the tested app?
- If you leave the app to be tested blank, and just click “Connect,” you can connect to the device. Is this connection possible?
If this is still not resolved, make an inquiry using this procedure.
